Hazel Wood, Swanland U3A

“On behalf of Swanland U3A, I would like to thank you most sincerely for your presentation ‘A novelist’s view of Creative Writing’ which I know was well received by the audience on Thursday, July 1st.

Your talk certainly lived up to its title and was delivered with great style and enthusiasm for the subject, which was the result of your personal experiences. Thank you also for sharing them with us and explaining with great clarity what constitutes a good novel. Your passion for the topic and your belief combined to provide us with an absorbing presentation, which was much appreciated.

The comparison with the judging panel of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ proved to be a strategy which generated interest within the audience. A gentleman seated near me said that your talk was not what he had expected, but that he had really enjoyed it. Praise indeed!”
